"Introduction to Incision Academy, On-line Registration and App Download"

Within the framework of TICO-TBRI activities, the GICO team organized a workshop in collaboration with Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) and Incision Academy entitled "Introduction to Incision Academy, On-line Registration and App download". Incision academy is under the acquisition of Royal College of Surgeons in England, it is aimed to improve the surgical skills of surgeons by preparing for the OR with step-by-step approach, filmed in 3D from a surgeons point of view. The courses cover all surgical disciplines including gastro-intestinal, urology and general surgery. Each course level costs around 40 Euros. Their services are now served by EKB where the courses will be given on line and after completing the course an accredited certificate will be given from the Royal College of Surgeons.
Incision Academy supports the staff of both the Surgery and Urology Departments in the education and training for all experience levels:
I- Training program for residents.
II- Training program for assistant lecturers.
III- Focus groups session and work projects.
The Incision Academy trainer was Dr. Mohamed El-Shazly. He is a Customer Consultant and Trainer of experience in training and in communication.
For Surgery Department: The workshop was attended by 19 trainees.
For Urology Department: The workshop was attended by 14 trainees.
The trainees were Professors, Assistant Professors, Researchers, Assistant Researchers and Residents.
The Step by step procedures was very useful and simple.
Dashboard was helpful follow up tool.
The Access to all disciplines was good way for learning.
Availability of the relevant Anatomy courses with each procedure.
3 D Demo session was very interesting.
The trainees needed more live surgery operations.
